Features
Skin, under-eyes, creasing, sclera, eyelids, nose shape, hair, brows and symmetry.
Feature quality is the condition of the surface: skin, hair, eyes and the soft tissue around them. Where the other pillars describe the shape you were born with, this one describes how well it is being looked after, and it is where most people see the fastest movement between scans.
How it is scored
Each assessment (acne, dark circles, nasolabial folds, sclera reddening and so on) is rated 0–10, where 10 means the issue is absent. Every point below the ideal deducts from the pillar in proportion to how visible and how significant that issue is. The assessments are grouped into categories, each with its own cap on how much it can remove:
- Skin quality can remove the most (up to 70% of the pillar), followed by hair health and facial creasing (60% each).
- Under-eye quality and brows & lashes up to 40%; sclera and upper eyelid quality up to 35%; nose shape quality up to 30%.
- Facial symmetry is capped at 15% and colouring (eye, hair and skin contrast) at 5%. Some asymmetry is universal, so it is deliberately kept minor.
Within a category, several small issues saturate rather than stack, so three mild skin concerns cost less than one severe one. The pillar also has a floor: the mapping to 0–10 flattens at the bottom so a face with many concerns still lands above zero.
Where the model needs help
Feature ratings are the most sensitive to photo conditions of any pillar. Compression hides texture, warm light hides redness, cool light exaggerates dark circles, and beauty filters erase everything. If a rating does not match what you see in the mirror, the first thing to check is the photo, not the model.
Improving it
Because this pillar tracks condition rather than structure, it responds to sleep, hydration, sun protection, a consistent skincare routine and, for hair, early treatment. The scores guide explains how a change here flows through to your overall score.
