Why it matters

This describes how the forehead outline transitions into the cheeks. Two faces can have the same cheek width but quite different upper-face taper because their temples differ in width.

  • Lower: the temples are narrower relative to the cheeks.
  • Higher: the temples are closer to, or exceed, cheekbone width.

Where the idea comes from
