Why it matters
This gives a second description of the ear’s contribution to the face outline. Unlike the width percentage, its angle depends on the vertical position of the ear and mouth reference too.
- Lower: the ear direction lies closer to the vertical reference.
- Higher: the ear direction tilts farther away from that reference.
