Why it matters

The neck forms the base of the facial silhouette. The comparison describes the transition from jaw to neck and distinguishes neck width from the sharpness of the under-chin contour.

  • Lower: a narrower neck relative to the jaw.
  • Higher: a wider neck relative to the jaw.
